WHAT IS PERMANENT MAKE-UP?
Permanent make-up or micropigmentation is a delicate, controlled method of applying subtle micro-insertions of pigment into the skin. The idea is to form a gentle shadow of colour to the skin to achieve a natural look.
The final result is a natural enhancement of facial features:
- Brightening of the eyes by lengthening the look of lashes and strengthening eye contour and shape.
- Balancing and framing the face by thickening, shaping or even redefining brows.
- Enriching one’s natural colour and shape of lips to achieve an all day, luscious pout.
- Add a bit of charm and uniqueness to your skin with a beauty mark.
HOW IS THIS PROCEDURE PERFORMED?
Unlike a standard tattoo, micropigmentation is designed to be applied in stages. The procedure consists of one consultation, an application focus visit, and one follow up visit. During your first visit you will receive an in depth and state of the art consultation, using photo imagery to capture personal face structures and dimensions. These images are printed out for you and the technician to review together, focusing on any asymmetrical aspects of the face and working to balance and correct uneven features. You and the technician will also will choose customized colour blends and decide on shapes and definition. During all procedures you will help guide the technician, using a mirror, to achieve desired results of both colour and shape.
Immediate results of this procedure will always appear darker for the first few days until skin has healed. This is where proper post care is essential to ensure lasting results. A follow-up visit is included in the initial treatment cost and is recommended about 4-6 weeks later. The follow up visit will focus on applying any needed final touches on colour, shape and definition.
